UNWANTED AND UNSOLICITED EMAILS
21 October, 2012 | By Goldie Alexander
Is this happening to anyone else?
These last few weeks I have received a minimum of ten emails every day telling me that some my emails are NOT getting through. These emails include names and addresses I never sent and no doubt come via other people’s emails who are possibly being sent messages that seem to come from me.
There is nothing I can do except hit the delete button. There is no way I can ‘un-subscribe’. I can only conclude this is viewed as good fun for whoever sent them via my ‘booking’ site.
If only this unknown mischief-maker would find something more interesting to occupy his or her tiny mind. If only someone could convince scammers how truly boring they are, how truly unclever, how truly stupid. Small tasks occupy small minds?
My other source of irritation is when I am trying to buy something off the net that I must first provide my email address. Please… I don’t want your regular weekly newsletters telling me about bargains that don’t interest me. For a long time I have refused to divulge my email address to any store and mourn that for some years I did just that. In a way this is even more irritating than a letter box stuffed with unwanted mail.
In my humble opinion it acts exactly against what that store or website is trying to sell as I delete those as soon as they turn up without bothering to read them. In their favour they do give me something to grumble about!
Howdy are using WordPress for your blog platform? I’m new to the blog world but I’m trying to get started and set up
my own. Do you require any coding knowledge to make your own blog?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
