ANOTHER RECIPE FROM “THE GREVILLEA MURDER MYSTERY TRILOGY”:

ONIONS IN A CARAMEL SAUCE.
As I keep being asked for more recipes from my culinary Murder/Mystery Trilogy, this is for those not at present on a sugar free diet. This recipe comes from Book1: “UNJUST DESSERTS”.
Ingredients:
1 cup sultanas
½ cup sugar
250 gms. small onions or shallots
½ cup balsamic vinegar
pinch salt
olive oil
Method:
Slice onions/shallots into thin rings.
Heat oil in pan.
Add sugar and vinegar to pan.
Cook until this becomes caramelised.
Stir fry onions and then add them to the pan until all is tender but too runny.
